Prof. V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai on Thursday
assumed charge as Vice Chancellor of Mewar University. Prof. Pillai was
welcomed by university officials and others, led by Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya
,Chairperson, Mewar University , Shri Govind lal Ji Gadiya , Secretary, Mewar
Education Society and Shri R.K. Gadiya, Member, Board of Management.

Rajasekharan Pillai born in 1949 in the State of Kerala is eminent educational
administrator available in the country. Prof Pillai was Chairman and Vice
Chairman of a prestigious organization like UGC, NAAC. Prof Pillai has also
served as Director, NAAC and Vice-Chancellor in many Universities.In January
2008, he received the Presidential Gold Medal of the Indian Science Congress
from the Prime Minister of India. He was the 6th Vice Chancellor of the Indira Gandhi
National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. He is a versatile personality with
very rich experience in the field of education and administration and with his
association in the Mewar University; the university will certainly touch new
heights.
