‘Knowledge of both education and culture is essential so that the history of that culture and education can be butter understood an appreciated thereby internalizing the best purpose of education’, said Shri Manoj Sinha, Minister of State Railways, Govt. of India, as the chief guest while addressing the students of Mewar University Gangar, Chittorgarh (Raj.) on the occasion of Freshers’ and Foundation Day function, AAGAAZ-2015. To prove ones merits and credentials, today students must change their mind-sets in line with the fast changing demands of this stiff competitive world. He also said about the importance of being entrepreneurship as their main objectives and doing so not only can they help themselves but also can bring development of the society.Emphasizing on the qualitative and comprehensive education system, Mr. Sinha stressed on the importance of 3 Rs’- Responsiveness, Responsibility and Reliability for the student to get successful in their lives and careers.
            The Chairperson of Mewar University, Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya extended a hearty and warmth welcome to all the new comers for the academic session 2015-16 and in his welcome speech, Dr. Gadiya said that the University is providing and imparting education as well as training and placements to the students, belonging to the 23 states of the country, who are pursuing their studies in different faculties, amongst them 75 per cent from rural areas including SC, ST and OBC categories.
            The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. P. Ramaiya,presented his report on the University’s growth-past and present.
            The programme was presided by Shri C.P. Joshi, MP, Chittorgarh, Lok-Sabha Constituency  and the guest of honour were Shri Shrichand Kraplani, Member,Legislative  AssemblyNimbahera, Shri C.R. Choudhary, MP, Nagaur, Lok-Sabha Constituency, Shri Suresh Dhakar, Member, Legislative  Assembly, Begun.Shri Ratan Gadri, President BJP, Chittorgarh; Shri Ashok Navlakha Ex Member, Legislative Assembly Nimbahera; Smt Bhagwati Devi Jhala, former BJP Leader, were also present to grace the occasion.All the guests were felicitated by Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya, Chairman, Mewar University, Shri Govind Lal Ji Gadiya, Secretary, MES, Shri R. K. Gadiya, Member, BOM, and Shri Sunil Kumar Gadiya, Member, BOM.

            This special occasion was left its genuine stamp coupled with panoramic extravaganza and cultural rendezvous as part of thematic representation and display of exceptional artistic exuberance by the students of the university which made the eyes to close and chicks to rejoice. The trumpet of the performance blew its resounding whistle with the patriotic number “jai ho…” along with the line of lilting lyrics of sufi-song “Mast Kalander ”adding fire to the forest the students’ performance of the song and dance show, “sandese aate hain …(Border)”, that exemplifies the ultimate patriotic fervour, sacrifice and national unity and diversity along with the message epitomises “save girl child”.The cultural innings further added another feather on its cap by brilliant performance in all the three dramas and poetry highlighting the serious issues concerning female infanticide, child labour and deprivation of basic education and above all the problems concerning foreign tourists visiting our country. The climax of the Big Day reached its curtain falls on the announcement of Mr and Miss Fresher. This was the most sought-after scenic brilliance for all where the message was loud and clear presenting home the pat theme on “Save the Tiger”. Mr Fresher won by Mr.SurendraBhartiGoswami , student of B.Sc. Agriculture and Ms.Freshercrowned by Ms.UrvashiVaishnavi, student of BBA. The whole Day gigantic and captivating performance takes its final feet on the singing of National Anthem by one and all.
